Membership Structure

• Memberships operate on a financial year basis (1 July to 30 June).
• Membership benefits apply only while membership is current and financial.

Membership Fees & Pro-Rata Periods

• Initial membership fees are charged on a pro-rata basis depending on the date of sign-up:
  • For memberships commencing between 1 July and 31 March, fees are pro-rated from the commencement date to 30 June of the same financial year.
  • For memberships commencing between 1 April and 30 June, fees apply from the commencement date to 30 June of the following financial year.
• By submitting a membership application, you acknowledge and agree to the applicable pro-rata fee and membership period.

Payments, Refunds & Forfeiture

• All membership fees are non-refundable once payment has been received.
• If a membership is cancelled after payment, any remaining portion of the membership period will be forfeited.
• No refunds, credits, or partial reimbursements will be issued for unused membership time.

Changes to Membership

• NSW Tourism Association reserves the right to amend membership fees, benefits, eligibility requirements, or these Terms and Conditions at any time.
• Any material changes will be communicated via email or published on the Association’s website.

  Automatic Renewal

• Memberships automatically renew in July following the conclusion of the initial pro-rata period.
• Upon renewal, memberships are issued for a full 12-month financial year (1 July to 30 June).
• Renewal fees will be charged automatically to the payment method held on file.

Cancellation of Renewal

• Requests to cancel a membership must be provided in writing  via email to admin@nswtourismassociation.com.au.
• To avoid automatic renewal, cancellation requests must be received at least 14 days prior to the renewal payment date.
• Cancellation requests received after this time may not prevent the renewal payment from being processed.

Payment Details

• Members are responsible for maintaining current and valid payment details.
• If the credit card used for renewal is lost, stolen, expired, or otherwise invalid, members must notify NSW Tourism Association promptly to avoid interruption to membership.

Failed Payments

• Where a renewal payment is unsuccessful, NSW Tourism Association reserves the right to suspend or cancel membership until payment is resolved.

All NSW Tourism Association members, stakeholders, and partners are expected to uphold the highest professional and ethical standards and to act in a manner that supports the integrity and sustainability of the tourism industry.

Members agree to:

• Protect the natural environment by adopting minimal-impact and sustainable practices
• Promote environmental awareness and appreciation
• Ensure the safety of participants, staff, and the public through appropriate risk management
• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and accepted industry standards
• Act honestly, fairly, and professionally in all dealings
• Respect privacy, confidentiality, and the rights of others
• Avoid false, misleading, unethical, or unlawful conduct
• Treat all people with respect and without discrimination or harassment
• Refrain from conduct that may damage the reputation of the tourism industry or associated stakeholders
• Support ongoing professional development and skills enhancement
• Advocate for the benefits and value of tourism

Failure to comply with this Code of Ethics or NSW Tourism Association policies may result in suspension or termination of membership.
