In September 2026, NSW Tourism Association launched Tourism at Work. A collection of stories showing the real people and stories of tourism across the state.
Together, these stories show what happens when tourism businesses, events and destinations have the support they need to grow, attract visitors and create opportunities in their communities.
At a time when NSW has set an ambitious target of $91 billion in annual visitor expenditure and 150,000 additional jobs by 2035, we believe the path to growth must include continued support for the businesses and communities that deliver the visitor experience.
Over 3 months, we’ll share stories from across NSW demonstrating tourism support in action: what has worked, what is at risk, and where practical government support can make a measurable difference.
And then we'll advocate, hard, for NSW Government to provide more support for NSW tourism operators - to support jobs and our communities.

We’ll add a new story here each week, sharing the real impact of tourism across NSW and the support our industry needs to keep delivering for jobs, businesses and communities.
Check back each week for the latest story, one-pager and media release.
